4th Cause

The fourth cause of marriage difficulties is this: Immorality (ethical or moral "lapses" - whatever you call them.) And it doesn't always have to be adultery.

It can include lying, being too greedy, or a lack of anger management. Yes, you need to call your spouse's attention to their sin. How do we respond? The last thing we want to respond with is ,"I'm better than you." Rather, you need to respond with a humble heart . . . a heart that admits, 'I could do the same thing or something like that even if I haven't."

None of us is perfect and if we're going to act as though we are, we lessen our chances for reconciliation with the offending person.

The goal is avoiding these things are maintaining an undivided heart!
